At Citrus High School, there’s something for everyone! Our clubs and organizations offer students the chance to explore interests, build leadership skills, give back to the community, and make lasting friendships. Whether you’re passionate about academics, the arts, service, or school spirit, getting involved is the best way to make your high school experience truly unforgettable.

 

  • A Jeopardy-style team competition vs. LHS and CRHS. The All-County Team will represent Citrus County at the State Competition at Disney in April.

  • The Bio Club is a service/interest club to support the activities of the CHS Science Department and to offer out-of-class experiences for students with an interest in Science, particularly the Life Sciences.

  • The CHS Chess Club welcomes all skill levels. They meet weekly for practice and competitions.

  • The CHS Drama Club exists to provide students with the opportunity to participate, explore, and excel in all
    aspects of theatre arts. Students interested in
    performance, direction, improvisation, design, technical production, and “all things theatre” are encouraged to join. The CHS Drama Club operates with open enrollment; any student at CHS is eligible to join at any time during the school year. Club meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.  The membership fee is $25 and includes a troupe t-shirt.

  • Future Business Leaders of America, is a nationally
    recognized club for high school students fostering leadership through business.

  • The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a club for Christian students to fellowship with other Christian students. FCA focuses on serving local communities by
    equipping, empowering, and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.   Canes for Christ is an extension of FCA after school, diving deeper into the scripture that was covered during FCA.

  • The Hurricane Chronicles, our school newsletter, focuses on the current events of what is happening on the campus of Citrus High School.

  • Interact is a Rotary International service club. The club is active in the school beautification and recycling
    programs, it is intended to develop leadership skills and personal integrity through hard work and goodwill.

  • A community service group that aids the needs of our community through service projects sponsored by
    Kiwanis of Inverness.

  • LINK allows high school students to provide support and encouragement to middle school and new students which allow for a successful transition to CHS.

  • Mu Alpha Theta is dedicated to inspiring a keen interest of mathematics in high school students. Also developing strong scholarship in the subject of mathematics.

  • The Spanish Club promotes understanding of Spanish culture by exploring foods, folklore dances, history, games and field trips to experience Hispanic History.

  • Student Government provides a democratic forum in which students can address school-related issues that affect their lives, maintain a continuous communication channel from students to both faculty and administration, as well as among students within the school. It also provides leadership opportunities and community involvement projects.

  • The Bowling Club promotes understanding of the fundamentals of bowling.  It is held at Sportsman Bowling Alley.

  • The Pickleball Club promotes understanding of the fundamentals of pickleball and offers time after school to play.

  • Helping  Hands is a club dedicated to making an impact on the community by volunteering for various organizations and events. It’s a great way to earn community service hours and grow as an individual through helping others.
